I love movement in connection with nature, and I love helping people connect with nature through their body. When I'm not guiding people through myofascial release sessions I love spending my time Rock Climbing, Bodysurfing, taking people on their first skydives, and making quality food with my partner Ashley.
I have greatly enjoyed pushing my own personal limits of focused movement, especially with Rock Climbing since the age of 8. Any challenging movement in nature can give us valuable feedback about our mind, movement and form, allowing us to be more present with our environment through our body.
Rock Climbing and BASE jumping full-time through my teens and most of my twenties without enough rest and regenerative practices led to chronic overuse injuries. This, along with the desire to give back to the community and help keep all the monkeys raging is what directed me to the study of Acupuncture, Massage Therapy, Medical Qigong and Traditional Chinese Medicine. Dynamic balance is an important presence in my life. The regular practice of Self-Myofascial Release, Qigong and Somatic Meditation is crucial in maintaining overall balance with the stress and intensity of daily life, the yin to the yang, so to speak. My practice has always been led by direct, visceral feedback; working through my own injuries and the injuries of those around me, continuing to develop what works and dropping what doesn't.
I love sharing this work because it helps people feel empowered in the process of their own healing, and more present in their own body. Health, wellness and optimal movement is an ongoing process, not a destination, and my purpose is to help you dial in with that process no matter where you're starting from.
